Runwal Group Runwal Estate complaints – Runwal GroupRewiews – Delay in Possession still no compensation by Runwal group.
I have booked a flat in Runwal Estate – G.B. Rd, Thane in February 2009. As per the agreement, the developers should give possession on or before June 2011 with an automatic extension of time clause due to some reason such as non-availability of steel, cement etc.
However, the builder kept telling reasons and kept on postponing the possession by every 3-6 months. As on date the project is delayed by more than two years. Last year builder had announced possession on March 2013. But last month when we visit the site, building is complete but lift work is still pending and premise work is also pending.
As the possession gets delayed, we have already an estimated financial loss of more than 3 lacs (Rented accommodation for more than two years + the interest paid to bank). They are not giving any compensation in spite of our possession get delayed from their end for two years and don’t know how many more!! as we don’t know our possession date till now. This is simply mental harassment and we can’t keep quite now as our financial loss is not small in such an inflation. We are feeling so helpless now, as we are expecting our first child and my wife can’t quite her job as paying EMIs and rent both in single salary is not possible.
So I want to claim compensation from the builders for all this financial loss and mental harassment. In this case, what would be the chance of getting compensation upon filing a case in consumer court. What is the procedure for the same?
